Does a Man Just Want a Woman’s Body?

Reader’s Question

Q:

Hey I have a question and wonder if you could give me an opinion about this: Well I was watching this show in which this bisexual was looking for love, and well she is a celebrity that invites sixteen lesbians and sixteen straight guys. Well in one of the episodes a lesbian told the celebrity “a man just wants a woman’s body.” I personally think this is not true. It might be true in some cases but not in all men. So can you give me an opinion on this? Thanks for responding and taking time to read my message.

A person’s sexual orientation doesn’t make them an expert in relationships, sexuality, or human psychology. Relationships are too complex to be summarized by such a simple statement. Each person has their specific priorities when it comes to romantic relationships — some look for physical attractiveness, some for personality, some for sense of humor, some for common interests, etc. It would be wonderful if all the major issues in human psychology and relationships could be summed up in seven words — but that’s not possible. When watching such shows, it’s best to view every comment as the individual opinion and attitude of that individual. Being a celebrity also doesn’t make you an expert on relationships, sexuality, etc. Actors who play physicians on television will tell you they don’t know anything about medicine…they’re an actor.
